SUMMARY:Tactical Rifle/Handgun Training
DESCRIPTION:Jerry Gallo, DBA On Target Firearms Training LLC, in conjunction with Reading Rifle and Revolver, is offering a Tactical Rifle/ Handgun Training course to qualified citizens at Reading, MA, outdoor range #1. This is not a beginner course.\nThe morning session 8:00 am-11:30 pm will focus on Tactical Rifle/Carbine Training.\nThe afternoon session 12:30 pm – 4:00 pm will focus on Handgun Training.\nBoth sessions will include the skill drills and steel targets.\nCost:\n$85/person half day session.\n$135/person full day course (Members)\n$160/person full day course (Non-Members)\nThe course will provide the individual shooter tactical rifle/carbine and handgun specific marksmanship skills, and is geared to individuals who have a MA LTC and possess a moderate skillset/ proficiency with a both rifle and handgun (pistol/revolver).\nThe theme of the course will be the proper and safe handling of rifles and handguns while carrying on the person as well as basic skill and techniques for firearm proficiency. Timed Skill/Drills will be completed.\nAttendees will be required to bring the rifle of choice, (with a sling) magazines and 300 rounds of ammunition, handgun of choice – 200-250 rounds of ammunition; secure belt; belt holster, magazine pouch and a total of 3 magazines, if available, eye and ear protection and baseball cap. Attendees will also be required to bring a copy of his/her current/valid Massachusetts License to Carry Firearms (Pistol Permit).\nStudents will be required to articulate and demonstrate proper and safe handling of rifles and handguns. The basic fundamentals of shooting in a safe environment will be reviewed prior to any live fire taking place. Students will be trained in a dry fire scenario, the ability to properly draw from and recovery to a holster in a safe manner prior to engaging in live fire drills. All drills will be demonstrated by an experienced and professional instructor with real world experience.\nPlease Note: We need a minimum of four people to be registered for a given date to hold that class\nRegister for this class\n
